A carved wooden mask with exaggerated eyes and a well handled and worn surface suggesting ritual use, most likely used in initiation ceremonies. Mbangani or Binji peoples mask, Congo, central Africa. Provenance: Ex Sol and Josephine Levitt, NY; Ex. J. Camp Gallery, NYC. 1985. The mask measures 11 inches tall. A metal display stand can also be included for an additional $40.00
