This helmet appears to be an unused example of the now classic Chinese diving helmet design. This is a model TF-3 and was made in China in 1996 according to the ID plate. The helmet also still retains a Chinese decal applied before its sale, also indicating the helmet has never been in the water.

As shown in the photos, the helmet has a nearly flawless copper body and brass hardware. Both the bonnet and breastplate exhibit a superb hammered finish to the copper. The helmet still retains all three neck ring nuts and a rubber gasket. Inside the bonnet, all the air vents are present, along with the exhaust chin button.

In many cases, helmets made in China that enter the collector market are well used with lots of heavy dents and damage. This like new helmet already has a wonderful patina and will look great in any setting!

All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity. The display stand shown in the photos is not included.
