This helmet is an unused new old stock example of the Chinese TF-12 diving helmet design. This helmet was made in August of 2003 according to the ID plate. The helmet still retains a Chinese decal applied before its sale, also indicating the helmet has never been in the water.

As shown in the photos, the helmet has a nearly flawless copper body and brass hardware. This helmet does have a tinned copper body, which was not done on all TF-12 helmets. The helmet retains all the wing nuts, brails, safety pin and chain, neck ring rubber gasket, glass, and threaded faceplate. Inside the bonnet, all the air vents are present, along with the exhaust chin button. Attached at the factory and still tied to the air elbow is a tee wrench.

Obtaining a new old stock example of this model is now nearly impossible. This flawless factory new helmet could be kept as a time capsule or even used after a proper inspection by a certified dive shop.

All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity. The display stand shown in the photos is not included.
