North America, United States, ca. mid 19th century CE. A lovely ensemble of four antique photographs. Three early daguerreotype photographs display a myriad of subjects, including a man and woman, a seated young man, and a seated young woman. All three daguerreotype photos have embossed brass perimeter frames and protective glass panels, though the young woman is the only one set within a leather-bound wooden case half. Last is a tintype photograph of a young child seated next to a table. It has an intricately-embossed brass perimeter and frame set inside a Union leather case half, though the protective glass panel is missing. Size of largest (young woman daguerreotype): 3.25" W x 3.625" H (8.3 cm x 9.2 cm).
