Description
This is a rare prototype Helping Mother and has not been released. Mother's Helper has been released and uses girl w/cat, but no table. Modeled by Arthur Moeller 1955. Painted 8/57. Originally "Mother's Aid". Hummel measures approx. 5", TMK-2, Hum 325. No cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. No box. See our other auction lots for more rare large and small M.I. Hummel and Goebel figurines. Provenance: From the estate collection of Donald Deeks (1931-2020) of Venice, Florida, who assembled what is purported to be one of the most important collections of rare Hummel figurines in existence. Blackwell Auctions has been commissioned by his family to sell the entire collection of about 2,000 pieces, many of them either unique or nearly so.
