Description
Rare Lucky Boy prototype. When later produced was done in a 4.5" size. Original name "Fair Prizes". Painted by Franz Kirchner. Hum. No. 335 is incised and painted. Hummel measures approx. 5 3/4", TMK-2, Hum 335. No cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. No box. See our other auction lots for more rare large and small M.I. Hummel and Goebel figurines. Provenance: From the estate collection of Donald Deeks (1931-2020) of Venice, Florida, who assembled what is purported to be one of the most important collections of rare Hummel figurines in existence. Blackwell Auctions has been commissioned by his family to sell the entire collection of about 2,000 pieces, many of them either unique or nearly so.
