Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima or Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A lovely necklace strung with dozens of smooth pottery beads with centrally drilled suspension holes. Each bead has a spherical form with some bearing slight carinations, and some exhibit remains of red-orange or brown pigment. Strung in modern times, this is a necklace of style and class! Size: 32.5" L (82.6 cm); (largest bead): 1.125" D (2.86 cm)
Provenance: private Ventura County, California, USA collection, acquired prior to 2008
