These Civil War Union army documents include an absentee form filled out in Atlanta, Ga and dated March 10th, 1865 and signed by the director of general hospitals in Nashville Tennessee; and a letter from Milwaukee dated June 20th, 1865 detailing the return of equipment and bearing an interesting punch press of an early rendering of the U.S. Capitol building; and an official war department form for a deceased soldier who died a POW in Richmond, Virginia on January 16th, 1865.
