Rarissima edizione dello stampatore bolognese Della Volpe. Questa epistola in versi fu letta dall'autore al Lagrange la sera precedente la di lui partenza da Torino ,20 agosto 1766, richiamato dal Sovrano prussiano a ricoprire la cattedra già di Eulero nell'Accademia di Berlino. Il testo fu poi inviato al fisico Francesco Maria Zanotti a Bologna, che la fece pubblicare dopo aver ottenuta "l'autorizzazione poetica" dell'abate Roberti. G.A.M. Boccardi Torino 1730-1793, poeta e letterato, fu direttore della stampa delle opere accademiche alla torinese Accademia delle Scienze e quivi potè stringere amicizia col matematico torinese.

Very rare edition of the Bolognese printer Della Volpe. This epistle in verse was read by the author to Lagrange the evening before his departure from Turin, 20 August 1766, recalled by the Prussian sovereign to hold the chair of Euler in the Berlin Academy. The text was then sent to the physicist Francesco Maria Zanotti in Bologna, who had it published after obtaining "the poetic authorization" of Abbot Roberti. G.A.M. Boccardi Turin 1730-1793, poet and man of letters, was director of the printing of academic works at the Turin Academy of Sciences and there he was able to make friends with the Turin mathematician.
