ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE CERAMIC PAIR OF DEER FIGURES, each recumbent on oval base with floral bocage to back, comprising a buck with antlers and a doe, each having bold polychrome hand-painted decorations, decorated in the round. Open-bottomed. First half 19th century. 4 1/2" HOA.
Each having some expected wear with minor paint touch-ups; doe with minor loss to ear tip and light hairline to base; buck with flake to nose/nostril, possibly as made, and minor flake to back base edge.
