Description
ENGLISH YELLOWWARE CERAMIC PUZZLE JUG / PITCHER, having pierced neck with three small protruding spouts, with molded bearded mask central spout and lion-shaped handle, featuring three relief designs to body including a cow with calf, a rider on a horse, and two winged cherubs, hand-brushed "WHS" and "1849" to front. Unmarked. Attributed to Ferrybridge Pottery, Yorkshire, England. Circa 1849. 7 3/8" HOA.
Having restoration to rim, one spout, and handle with moderate crazing.
