Description
Lot of 3 Ancient Colima Bedded Figures Mexico c.100 B.C. - 200 A.D. Size 3-3/4”, 4” & 4-1/2”L. Each figure is bound to an integral rectangular plinth platform. Two smallest have a double strap. Smallest in orange pottery, figures has bowed legs. Nose gone, chip on lower corner of plinth, top left of head with small loss. Next is buff pottery and depicts a male, which is very rare. Around his head is an open flat loop. Loop and upper part of plinth reattached. Final is female, missing nose, else intact and having surface deposits. Provenance:Private Nevada collection, ex. Dr. David Harner collection, Arkansas, 1950s-1960s.
