Description
Europe & United States, mostly ca. 19th century. Two fine Victorian plaster casts of medals in black mounts under glass. One with inscription reading "Carolus Ludov. Eug Regn Sveciae et Norv Princ Successor." Four additional Victorian bas relief plaques, two in black frames with white profiles on a black background, one modern example in round frame with brick-red profile of Ben Franklin, and an oval porcelain relief plaque of Hercules, in the manner of Wedgwood, with the raised part of the relief clear-glazed, the balance in white biscuit, mounted with spring-stye holder on flat ground in a black frame.
