Tibetan thangka depicting Palden Lhamo (Shri Devi) on Mule, 17th or 18th century, gouache on cotton, 25 x 17 inches, possibly Mongolian, on stitched surround measuring 43.5 x 21.5 inches, unframed. Central figure of the wrathful blue protector Palden Lhamo, with three eyes, red hair, left hand holding cup of human blood, right hand with vajra tipped stick, mule with eyeball on left rump, surrounded by numerous wrathful and peaceful deities most riding mules or lions, and seated Buddha's.
Condition
