Item Details

Description

Vellum landscape plaque decorated by Lenore Asbury in 1922 by creating the scene of a bend in a river with trees on the shore, having blue hills in the distant background beneath a pink to blue sky. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol and the date on the back and bearing Miss Asbury’s monogram in the lower left hand corner. The plaque is without crazing and the paper on the back has been undisturbed, so it has not been examined outside of the frame, but the piece appears to be in excellent, original condition. Size is approximately 5 inches by 9 inches, framed to 10 1/4 by 14 1/4 inches.
