Scenic Vellum plaque decorated in 1922 by Fred Rothenbusch, who depicted a country lane passing by a wooded area as evening approaches. Impressed on back with the Rookwood symbol and the date and bearing the artist's monogram in the lower right hand corner. Uncrazed with a small chip to the upper right rear corner. In the excellent, original frame with a portion of the label remaining. In composing the scene, Rothenbusch used lavender, which adds the pleasing dimension of the approaching nocturne. Size of the plaque is 9 inches by 5 inches.
