The Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with the broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, with straight opening lip, raised with a round shallow draft. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrasts against the cobalt blue fine color. The center interior medallion adorned with abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed scrolling foliage. The mid body decorated with lotus flowers blooms interspersed with interlocking tendril and foliage. The outer rim festooned with thrashing wavy lishui water . Each section banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry, and architecture. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with the grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
