Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong famille rose pierced porcelain plate. The Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with the broad wide central interior, slightly deep, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, with straight opening lip, raised with a round shallow draft. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in famille jaune under glazed base color which contrasts against the famille rose design color. The Main Exterior decorated with abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed with geometric patterns among scrolling foliage and tendril. The upper mouth rim carved in the open ring with a single thick ring line and auspicious ornament. And the foot base rim festooned with flowers blooms and enclosed with scrolling ruyi in gilt gine color. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry, and architecture. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
