A Superb, Chinese 17th Qing Dynasty Qianlong Reign Period, Qianlong pastels open mountain landscape pattern square vase bottle. Rectangular-shaped Chinese porcelain vases, squared baluster body, flat shoulder gently everted the cylindrical neck, slightly waisted to flared rim, mouth rim forms a quadrilateral opening, raised upon a square and slightly concave flat base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in deep blue underglaze base color which contrast against the gilt and Wucai design color. Wucai or five-color shades and tones, brightly painted in Wucai design, Opaque colors around the exterior, between the filling motif decorated in colorful vivid sgraffito ground of uptala. The main body delicately fine depicted big pavilion on the cliff, among sturdy lush tree, various flower blooms, grass filed path, rock work hill and Lishui water river, all in rectangular shape medallion form, of mountain landscape created peace of mind. The outer rectangular medallion adorned with repeating scrolling ruyi, enclosed with single gilt line ring rectangular. The neck festooned with big lotus flower bloom interspersed scrolling tendril and foliage, repeating key fret adorned on the upper mouth rim, enclosed with double fine gilt rings lines. Many mountains in China are sacred, some to Daoist's, some to Buddhists and some to both. In folk religion each mountain has its own deity associated with it. Of these Taishan is considered the most important and stones from the mountain were often placed in towns across China as a lucky charm. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape.
