Description
A large Egyptian steatite plaque, Late New Kingdom, c.1200 - 1075 BC, the top slightly domed and bearing an amuletic cartouche of Thutmose III surmounted by plumes, the opposite side with uraei (cobras) within each quadrant of a cruciform pattern formed by concentric drilled circles. 4 x 3 cm drilled lengthwise for suspension and grooved around sides. A nice example! Ex Swiss private collection, formed in the mid-1900's.
