Description

This is an unusual find, a incised and decorated side blown trumpet or "Oilphant" from the Kuba peoples of the Congo, central Africa. The entire trumpet is decorated with intricate geometric designs similar to those found of the Kuba cloths and other ceremonial objects. The Trumpet measures 17.25 inches long. A display stand will also be included.
