Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. This musician wears a fabulous headdress with a disc-shaped ornament and an applied strap crossing his head and wrapping around the chin (notice the whistle mouthpiece extending from it as well), a beaded necklace, armbands with incised markings that give the impression of jaguar pelt, a long tailed tunic, and loin cloth.
