**Originally Listed At $200**
Rome, Early Imperial Period, ca. 1st century CE. A fine silvered bronze mirror of a circular form with an openwork border comprised of circular perforations and incised concentric circles adorning one side. The mirror would have been meticulously polished to provide a strong reflection. Thick russet- and green-hued patina encrustations mark the surface and provide a lovely splash of color. A similar example (though with a handle) resides in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of art (accession number 07.286.127). Size: 3.1" W (7.9 cm).
Provenance: private Schroeder collection, Boca Raton, Florida, USA, acquired before 1970
