Description
A GROUP OF TWO VICTORIAN HAND PAINTED CASED GLASS BRIDE'S BASKETS WITH SILVER PLATED FRAMES, CIRCA 1860-1900, comprising a shaded pink over opaque white glass bowl with scalloped and ruffled rim, the interior hand painted with stylized floral and scroll decoration, with Meriden B. Company silver plated frame, model 0169, height: 12", diameter: 10 7/8"; and a shaded amethyst over opaque white glass bowl with scalloped and ruffled rim and ribbed border, the interior hand painted with floral and bird decoration with gilt highlights, with Rockford Silver Co. gilt plated frame, model 1502, height: 11", diameter: 11 1/8".
Condition
Both bowls in overall good condition with no evidence of chips, nicks, or cracks; the frames replated, with surface rubbing and scratching commensurate with age and use.
