Description
Two Victorian Silverplate Centerpieces, late 19th c., one with a hand painted Austrian Scalloped art glass scalloped bowl, atop a tripodal stand with three relief deer heads, on a sloping circular base on splayed lions' head legs; together with a Meriden American silverplate base with relief bird decoration with an associated bird decorated glass cylinder vase, Deer- H.- 11 1/4 in., Dia.- 10 1/2 in.; Bird- H.- 13 3/4 in., Dia.- 4 1/2 in. (2 Pcs.)
Condition
Bowl in very good condition with a couple minute "flea-bite" chips to scalloped edges- chips can be felt but not easily seen without a loop. Bowl is also marked "Austrie" underneath. Glass cylinder with a few small chips to the rim that have been sanded down. Metal stand with bird marked "Meriden silverplate" underneath. Both metal stands have tarnish.
