Description
**Originally Listed At $150**

Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A large and wonderful wheel-thrown example of a squat, round-bodied jar with a slightly flared rim and circular base. Well-painted concentric circular motifs flow around the shoulders, black on the buff cream-hued surface. Elegant in its simplicity, this vessel is indicative of the excellent work produced more than 4,000 years ago in this region. Size: 6.625" W x 3.375" H (16.8 cm x 8.6 cm).

Provenance: private Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA collection
