Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A wonderful standing cast bronze figurine of Osiris, the god of the underworld. He is depicted standing in mummiform on an integrated plinth with a horizontal loop to one side. He wears his traditional Atef crown with plumed ostrich feathers and frontal uraeus, has a lengthy pleated divine beard, and crossed arms holding the symbolic crook and flail. A vertical pierced loop for suspension is attached to the back of his neck, and the figure displays a rich forest green patina across all surfaces. Size: 2.125" H (5.4 cm).
