Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Chimu, ca. 1000 to 1400 CE. A mold-made blackware stirrup vessel depicting two fruits - perhaps guavas or melons - raised on a cylindrical section, with a petite monkey or frog sitting on the juncture between the stirrup and the tall cylindrical spout. Size: 5.5" W x 8.625" H (14 cm x 21.9 cm)
