Description
1675 Infant Baptism Pedobaptists Catholic v Protestant Danvers Baptist Joseph Whiston
In the late 17th-century, English Baptist Henry Danvers published a treatise on baptism – a work that brought him extensive criticism and questions by both Protestants and Catholics. One such response was Joseph Whiston’s “Infant Baptism from Heaven” in which he used scripture to disprove Danvers’ views. Many of the considerations involved the scripture-based views of Pedobaptists along with the idea that infant baptism is sufficient.
