New World, Cuba, ca. 1953 CE. A printed propaganda poster celebrating the centennary of Jose Marti (1853-1895 CE). Marti was a Cuban national hero - a poet, essayist, professor, and political theorist who became a symbol for Cuba's struggle for independence from Spain. The bottom of the poster says, "CON TODOS Y PARA EL BIEN DE TODOS" - "With Everyone and For the Good of All". Size: 24" W x 31" H (61 cm x 78.7 cm). The post is inside a very thin (approximately 0.25" (0.6 cm) wide) frame.

Provenance: private D. C. collection, California, USA; D. C. is an Emmy Award winning Hollywood writer and Executive Producer
