Description
**Originally Listed At $100**
A pair of foundational musical items, both of whose influence are still felt in the worlds of independent and punk music today. First, a vinyl LP by the American lo-fi indie rock band Sebadoh, a band that, alongside similar bands like Pavement and Guided By Voices, had an enormous impact on later artists in the American indie scene. The album is "Bakesale", released in 1994 by Sub Pop, and it is signed by Lou Barlow, one of the two founders of the band as well as the bassist for Dinosaur Jr. The second item is the Mayday Issue, Volume One, Number One, of "Slash", Los Angeles's historic punk rock magazine. The cover depicts Dave Vanian of the Damned, and it contains a manifesto announcing the arrival of American punks, ready to set the music industry on fire and catch up to their British brethren. Size of LP cover: 12.3" W x 12.25" H (31.2 cm x 31.1 cm)
Provenance: private D. C. collection, California, USA; D. C. is an Emmy Award winning Hollywood writer and Executive Producer
