A finely illustrated study of optics by Fulgence Marion. ‘The Wonders of Optics’ covers parts of the eye, optical illusions, behavior of light and color, properties of the light spectrum, mirrors and reflections, magic lanterns, telescopes, lenses, phantasmagoria, Chinese shadows, stereoscopes, and ghost illusions!

This rare 1868 first edition was translated out of the original French into English by Charles William Quin.
