ANTIQUITIES / GREEK HISTORICAL VOLUME, Henry Schliemann, "Ilios: The City and Country of the Trojans", 1880, John Murray, London, presumed first edition, impressed blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration, scenic frontispiece, having fold-out map, six fold-out plates, and numerous other plates.
Good condition overall, boards with bumped corners and some dents, some toning/discoloration, cover with remnants of adhesive label, interior appears complete, less than expected toning, boards separated at binding but with later tape reinforcement, fold-out map with a 4 1/2" tear, two fold-out plates detached from binding but present.
