ENGLISH HISTORICAL HISTORY VOLUMES, SET OF THREE, Thomas Allen, "The History and Antiquities of London, Westminster, Southwark, and Parts Adjacent", 1827, presumed first edition, Cowie & Strange, London, three volumes, being Volume I, II and III, each with engraved plates, including some fold-out examples, Vol. II with fold-out map of London, Vol. III with fold-out maps of Westminster and Southwark, impressed green cloth boards, leather corners and spines with black labels, gilt lettering and decoration.
Good to very good condition overall, moderate wear to boards/spines, including fraying and losses to corners, some tears to spines along joint, Vol. I lacking spine label, remainder with losses or tears to labels, Vols. I and II with spine and front board loose from binding but still attached to back board, Vol. III with beginning of similar issue but still attached, interiors very legible, with expected toning, some scattered minor foxing or staining, one or two fold-out plates with minor tears along fold-lines, maps intact.
