ENGLISH HISTORICAL VOLUMES, SET OF FIVE, Tobias Smollett, "The History of England, from the Revolution to the Death of George the Second. Designed as a Continuation of Mr. Hume's History: A New Edition, with the Author's Last Corrections and Improvements", 1823, printed by D.S. Maurice, London, for T. Cadell, et al, in five volumes, Volume I having engraved portrait frontispiece; rebound in blue cloth boards with gilt lettering.
Very good condition overall, rebound as described, ex-library collection, each with ink stamp to title page and last page, and bottom page ends, remnants of adhesive residue to back pastedowns, some pencil notations, interiors otherwise very clean and legible, minor to moderate toning to title pages and some end papers, less than expected toning to text pages, scattered minor foxing, primarily to title pages/end papers or page ends.
