Description
**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A pair of ceramic vessels made for domestic use. First, a tall vessel with a bulbous, olla-like body standing on three tall, integrated legs. Each leg has some open areas, which may indicate that they once had rattles. The olla has a slightly corseted neck and a wide, flaring mouth. Second, a seed jar with a rounded base and small, rolled rim. Both are decorated with red, white, and black abstract geometric artwork. Size of largest (tripod): 7.25" W x 9.6" H (18.4 cm x 24.4 cm)

Tripod vessel is repaired from multiple pieces. The jar is intact, with some remaining pigment, especially around the upper body.
