Description
Pre-Columbian, Central Coast Peru, Inca, ca. 1438 to 1533 CE. A beautiful axe head made for ritual use, hand-carved from a single piece of mottled green stone with black inclusions, all hand-polished to have a smooth surface. The axe head is T-shaped, allowing attachment to a handle. Size: 4.3" W x 2" H (10.9 cm x 5.1 cm); 3.9" H (9.9 cm) on included custom stand.
