Description
Ancient Near East / Turkey, Anatolia, ca. 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. A bulbous ceramic jar of simple form, in very nice condition for its age. The body is apple-shaped, with a flat base, and slightly raised, curved lines radiate outward from the cylindrical neck down the shoulder. The rim is unpronounced from the thick neck, forming a wide opening in the top of the vessel. Size: 9.75" W x 11.45" H (24.8 cm x 29.1 cm)
