Description
A lovely and rare Egyptian blue-green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back. One the front of the body and legs are two vertical columns of text, a much rarer style than the typical single vertical column or 'T' style inscription. H: 4 1/3 in (11.1cm). Wonderful vibrant color. Ex Newbury, UK private collection.
