Description
A wonderful Egyptian blue-green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform on integral base, wearing tripartite wig with false beard, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder and vertical plinth at back. On front of body and legs a well-molded T-style hieroglyphic inscription. H: 5 in (12.7 cm). Well-preserved with great detail and good color. Mounted on old wood block base. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
