Description
A detailed Egyptian faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig with false beard, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder and vertical plinth down back. On front of the legs are three registers of deeply molded hieroglyphic text. H: 5 3/8 in (13.7 cm). Preserved green glaze with light mineral deposits. Ex Cheshire, UK private collection.
