Description
A large Egyptian blue-green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, standing on square integral base, mummiform, wearing striated tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands clutching a pick and a hoe, basket over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back and 7 lines of hieroglyphic text down front of legs enclosed by a incised border. H: 7 3/8 in (18.7 cm). Nicely preserved with good style and light deposits throughout. Ex collection of Dr. Michael A Telson.
