A huge Sancai Glazed pottery Attendant, Chinese, Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.The attendant is clad in a greyish black robe and a green glazed dress, he wears a red hat and other details in yellow, green and black. He is standing with an umbrella in his left hand on a two-level podium. Head attachable as always with the largest Ming pottery figures.Size: 25.59" in height, massive and heavy. Such large size figures are extremely rare and were not for the common officials, they would have been made for the super rich, likely nobility and to judge from their lavish style, made late 15th.-16th. century. We have pictured it with a normal size 9.44 inches in height pottery attendant in front, so it's enormous size is shown in the best way.
