Description
A trio of Chinese pottery entertainer figures dating from the Han dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE). Each of the three pottery figures is engaged in a gymnastic flexible feat of contortion to entertain. They wear conical hats and are perched on a flat base.
Tallest: H. 6" (15.2 cm), Smallest: H. 4 1/2" (11.4 cm)
Provenance: collection of Frank Caro, son of Francis Caro, owner of the Francis Caro Gallery, Formerly owned by C.T.Loo
Condition: good condition overall with surface wear from many centuries of age. A crack above the right ankle and a restored wrist of the back bender.
