Society of Arts and Sciences Edison Tribute Commemorative Medal by the Medallic Arts Co. of New York, Bronze struck uniface medal depicting clothed bust of Thomas Edison facing right with legend: "SOCIETY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES EDISON TRIBUTE MAY 24th . 1928.", 2 1/2" diam., in 3 1/2" square leather and velvet frame with integral easel; PLUS "Sir James Purves-Stewart, K.C.M.G., C.B., M.D., F.R.C.P., 1927", Uniface struck bronze medal depicting Purves-Stewart (1869-1949), Neurologist, in his WWI military uniform, facing left. 2 1/2" diam. In matching stand, with the subject's calling card verso, inscribed as a gift for Xmas 1927. Both in very good condition.
