Description
Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain bowls are finely potted unto a deep vessel, with simply round sides leading to the characterizing flori-form shaped rim, and raised on concaved foot base. The exterior decorated with four polychrome hand painting medallions, each depicted immortal within landscape; surrounded with colorful famille rose rococo lotus blooms and scrolling tendrils. All reserved against purple sgraffito underglazed ground.
The shape is uniformly proportioned. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares , with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the painting, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well drawn, clear, subtle, and distinct. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The double gourd vase elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.
Mark on both bases, a six underglazed blue script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
