Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Carmine Red Glazed Porcelain Bowls. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform carmine red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The carmine red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rectangle lines. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
