Europe, Spain, ca. mid to late 19th century CE. A set of three hand-thrown antique glazed terracotta bowls, decorated on the interior with abstract cream-hued tendril motifs in a rich brick red over a tawny orange glaze. Each bowl has a flat and stable base, sloping shoulders, a recessed bowl cavity, and a rolled rim. A lovely set for any collection! Size of largest bowl: 8.625" W x 3.375" H (21.9 cm x 8.6 cm).

Condition
All bowls have surface wear commensurate with age, earthen deposits, fading/loss to tendril motifs, and losses to glaze. Large bowl has two pressure fissures, one on each hemisphere. Smallest bowl has one stable hairline fissure and craquelure to interior glaze.
