Description
**Originally Listed At $125**
Europe, Spain, ca. mid to late 19th century CE. A wonderful trio of hand-thrown terracotta bowls, each with an earthy orange glaze covering the bodies while creamy yellow floral and tendril motifs provide a nice chromatic contrast to the darker surface. Each bowl has a personalized name in the center of the bowl cavity. The largest bowl presents the name "Tere." (probably short for Teresa) written in the center and underlined with intersecting wavy lines; the second-largest bowl has the name "Andrea" underlined by a wavy line followed by nested wave motifs, and the smallest bowl reads "Paula" also underlined by a wavy line followed by nested wave motifs. The glaze for each bowl is heavy, thick, and does not cover the exterior of the bowl beyond the rolled rim in most places. Size of largest bowl: Size: 12.875" in diameter x 4.875" H (32.7 cm x 12.4 cm)
