Pre-Columbian, Colima, Camala style, western Mexico, ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. Burnished terracotta figure of a standing Shaman with his hands next to his body. He is wearing a collar around his head representing the Sun (as messenger of the Sun God ). Incised detailing on his shoulder and body and he has such a contented face. Size: 7.5" W x 11" H (19 cm x 27.9 cm)
